Please note that the climb and descent between points 7 and 11 are an addtional 300 meters or 1000 feet of climbing that Butch and 4 others did on the first day rather than wait at one of the rest stops. Without this bonus climb, the total climbing for day 1 was 3,100 feet or about 930 meters.
